It’s a Tuesday, so that’s Apple’s customs. Gurman again, a few days ago, he pointed to March 8 as the chosen date for Apple’s spring event. A model that kept the design but replaced its Intel processor with an Apple Silicon chip, with excellent results in terms of power, consumption and autonomy. This entry-level MacBook Pro M2 would replace the MacBook Pro with M1 that we saw in November 2020. This MacBook Pro would also have Face ID, more ports and the return of the MagSafe connector Most interestingly, we see an M2 in this team a few months after the MacBook Pro launched with M1 Pro and M1 Max. It would have the same design as the other models and would lack the shortcut bar and virtual buttons that we saw in 2016. In other words, the 14-inch MacBook Pro, entry model, would have an LCD screen like the current one. I expect the new MacBook Pro to follow the high-end MacBook Pros and lose the Touch Bar, but the main differences will be the display, processors, and storage, plus the lack of ProMotion or mini- LEDs. It is on the latter that Gurman has more details: Specifically, we’re expecting the so-called MacBook Air M2, a 24-inch iMac, a 2022 Mac mini, and an entry MacBook Pro.
